What concerts are presented by SFJAZZ throughout the year?
SFJAZZ presents a phenomenal array of jazz concerts year-round, from the classic to the avant-garde, gathering the legends of today and the rising stars of tomorrow in premier venues throughout San Francisco and the Bay Area. San Francisco becomes the “jazz capital” each fall with the highly-acclaimed, three-week long San Francisco Jazz Festival. The SFJAZZ Spring Season, widely noted for its theme-based approach to programming, is in its 7th year and offers a variety of different artists and genres from March to June. SFJAZZ Summerfest is the organization's annual series of free summer outdoor concerts, featuring over dozens of events from June through October in parks and commercial centers throughout the Bay Area.

What is the SFJAZZ Spring Season?
In 1999, SFJAZZ debuted the first Spring Season of concerts. For four months, from March thru June, SFJAZZ presents more than 30 stellar concerts (generally between one and four concerts per week) featuring some of the biggest and brightest names in jazz and its related musical forms.

Where are SFJAZZ events held?
SFJAZZ features events at various music venues in San Francisco and other parts of the Bay Area. SFJAZZ carefully chooses the venue that best suits each performance for an optimum concert-going experience. From the intimate elegance of the 300-seat Florence Gould Theatre (at the Legion of Honor in Lincoln Park) to the superb acoustics of Herbst Theatre’s 900-seat grand chamber music hall, from the innovative energy in the 950-seat Palace of Fine Arts Theatre to the uniquely intimate and stately ambiance of Nob Hill’s 3000-seat Masonic Center, SFJAZZ invites our audiences to enjoy jazz in the best music venues around!

SFJAZZ volunteers are a big-hearted group of people whose generous efforts are central to our mission of bringing world-class jazz to the San Francisco Bay Area. Volunteers are honored and rewarded in a number of ways, including the bi-annual, post-season volunteer parties. As an extra show of appreciation, SFJAZZ rewards volunteers who contribute 15 hours or more of service with the gift of an SFJAZZ Individual level membership. Does SFJAZZ make donations to other non-profit organizations?
Through the Ticket Donation Program, SFJAZZ offers concert tickets to various Bay Area charitable organizations for use in fundraising through silent auctions, raffles and benefit events. Ticket requests can be made at any time but must be submitted in writing a minimum of three months prior to the fundraising event.
