Questions

What is a login and why do I need to login?
A login is your personal SFJAZZ username & password.  Signing up for a free SFJAZZ account allows you to purchase tickets, make contributions, and manage your personal information online.  In order to make any purchase through the SFJAZZ site you must first log in or create a new account.

How do I log in?
Click “Login” at the top right corner of any sfjazz.org page. Enter your username (often your email address) and your password and press log in. If you are not already logged in, you will be asked to do so when purchasing something through sfjazz.org. For problems with your login, please refer to the ”Problems” section below.

How can I tell if I’m logged in or not?
If you are successfully logged in to your account, “Welcome [your first name]!” will be displayed in the top right corner of our website, along with links to view your current order or modify your account information. If you are not logged in, it will simply say “Login”, which you can click to log in.

What can I do once I’m logged in?
Once logged in, you can purchase tickets, make a contribution to SFJAZZ, purchase or redeem a gift certificate, modify your contact information, manage your personal SFJAZZ contact settings, and specify your interests to help us better serve you.

What is meant by the term "SFJAZZ Member"?
The term “SFJAZZ Member” refers to anyone who has made a contribution within the past year to join SFJAZZ at one of our various Membership levels.  Members receive a variety of benefits including special ticket discounts and no service fees.

Problems

I forgot or don’t know my login info.
If you have given SFJAZZ your email address before than you probably have an account.  On the login screen, go to “Look up my account” and enter your email address.  If you have an account with us linked to that email address, the password associated with your login will be sent to you.  If the email address you entered is not in our system, you can try again with a different email.  If none of the email addresses you entered are in our system, please create a new account.

I know my username and password are correct but I still can’t login.
Try quitting and re-starting your internet browser.  If this fails, try deleting your cookies.  Make sure to check the top right corner of the web page after login attempts to see if your login has been successful.  If you still have trouble logging in, please call us at 415-788-7353 or feel free to email boxoffice@sfjazz.org.

I tried to retrieve my password, but never received any email.
Please be sure to check your spam filter.  The email message should be from boxoffice@sfjazz.org. If you are still unable to receive the email please call us at 415-788-7353 or feel free to email boxoffice@sfjazz.org to have your password reset.

I’m trying to create an account but the system says my email address is already in your database.
Each account must have a unique email address.  If you are receiving this message, it means you already have an SFJAZZ account.  On the login screen, go to Look up Account and enter your email address to have your password sent to you by email.

I asked the system to reserve seats. Instead of seeing my selected seats, I was routed to the login screen.
You must be logged in to your account in order to purchase tickets.  If you select tickets prior to logging in then you will be taken to the Login screen in order to do so. Once you login, you will see your order and the seats that have been selected for you.

Please refer to the Questions section above if you have questions about logging in.

I have bought tickets online from SFJAZZ or Tickets.com before, but I’m not sure if my account info is correct.
Ticket order forms are mailed in our season brochures and newsletters. You may also request an order form to be faxed to you by calling 415-788-7353, or you can simply download the Ticket Order Form and print the PDF file.

I selected seats in a specific section but the system didn’t give me any or returned an error.
Either you are not logged in (see Questions) or you have searched for seats the system cannot find for you. If you see the following message,

NOTICE: We are unable to completely fulfill your ticket request. Please review your order below and either select an alternate performance, section, or adjust your ticket quantity.

that means there are not enough available seats together in the section you chose.  However, the section may not actually be sold out.  Try reducing your ticket quantity in the section you selected or choose a different section.  Sections will still show as available even when there are only single seats remaining.  When there are no more available seats in a section, the section will appear as “Sold Out” and you will not have the option to select any seats.

I think I’m a member but I’m not sure.
If you have made a Membership contribution within the past year, then you are a current Member.  When you login in to our website system, you will see a note in red on the left that says “You are currently logged in as a Member.”  If you still have questions about your Membership status, please call the Membership department 415-398-5655 x125 or the Box Office 415-788-7353.  If you’re not yet a Member, join today.
