Beacon Award recipient, vocalist Mary Stallings, is a
longtime San Francisco resident who has toured and performed
with the likes of Billy Eckstine, Dizzy Gillespie and the
Count Basie Orchestra. The San Francisco Chronicle proclaimed
that "...Stallings'
voice is supple and timeless...encompassing the whole history
of music." For this celebratory fête, Stallings
will perform in two remarkable settings: accompanied by
a piano trio; and backed by the powerful 15-piece Marcus
Shelby Jazz Orchestra, featuring special guest-pianist Geri
