Marc VW plays Jaco Pastorius
For November’s Hotplate, Marc VW takes on the fretless virtuoso Jaco Pastorius in a bass happening, the likes of which you will never recover from.
About Jaco Pastorius
The fast and furious life of Jaco Pastorius tragically ended in 1987 at a club in Fort Lauderdale. Almost completely faded away at the time of his death, Pastorious is now credited as one of the most towering influences of bass guitar in the 70s. From his time spent with fellow fusion guru Pat Metheny, to his high profile gig with Weather Report, Pastorius is a staple of modern American jazz and still regarded as one of the most influential bass players of all time.
