SFJAZZ Hotplate
Where Locals Meet Legends
SFJAZZ Hotplate is a monthly concert series featuring Bay Area artists re-imagining the music of jazz legends. The 2nd Thursday of every month, Hotplate aims to show another side of SFJAZZ, an informal setting where you can drop in for a drink and hear some of the best jazz the local scene has to offer.
During intermission, each evening will also include a quick FRONT BURNER multi-media discussion about the life and times of the night's featured jazz legend, led by SFJAZZ Education Director Rebeca Mauleón. DJ Pat Les Stache spin some of the legend's best-known tracks before the gig and at intermission. This is a seriously fun jazz hang and the joint is always packed for Hotplate!
