The edition, by San Francisco artist Mark Ulriksen, will debut on 20x200.com at 11am (PDT) tomorrow.(Thursday, 5/15.) Mark Ulriksen, a longtime friend and supporter of SFJAZZ, teamed up with 20x200 to produce a beautiful archival pigment print based on one of his amazing jazz paintings. 20x200 offers limited edition fine art prints at ridiculously affordable prices. Each week the site introduces two new prints, one a photograph and one a work on paper, offered in three sizes and editions. Priced at $20, $200, and $2000, the prints appeal to collectors emerging and established and often sell out in minutes. Launched in September of 2007, 20x200 has been a critical and popular success. Thousands of collectors, including museum curators, critics, and artists, have acquired 20x200 prints. Jen Bekman, the site's founder and curator, has been described in the New York Times as "a woman who has made herself a force in the art world in the last five years." AboutMark Ulriksen

San Francisco illustrator and artist Mark Ulriksen is probably best known for his whimsical covers for The New Yorker, where he has been a regular contributor since 1993, having over 30 covers published. He has produced work for most of America's leading magazines and newspapers, including Time, Newsweek, The Atlantic Monthly, Playboy, Rolling Stone, The New York Times, and The Wall Street Journal. His paintings have appeared in galleries in New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris, and Rome. Mark's work is in the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution, the Library of Congress, and the Museum of Contemporary Art in Rome. He has been profiled in industry publications such as Communication Arts, 3 x 3, Taschen's Illustration Now! Archive's "200 Best Illustrators Worldwide" and the university textbook "Graphic Communication Today." He was recently profiled as well in the European publications Dogs and Style Monte Carlo. Ulriksen has been a consistent presence in juried exhibitions annually for the past fifteen years, winning Gold and Silver medals from the Society of Illustrators. Mark has lectured at universities internationally and has been a featured speaker at ICON 3 and 4 illustration conferences.
