SFJAZZ is the largest nonprofit presenter of jazz in the Western United States, and one of the most acclaimed jazz presenters in the world. SFJAZZ presents more than 200 concerts and events in the Bay Area and around the country each year. Our most well-know event, the Annual San Francisco Jazz Festival has been hailed as “the #1 jazz festival in the world” (London Observer) and “one of America’s premier cultural events” (Los Angeles Times).

The SFJAZZ Spring Season, inaugurated in 2000, now parallels the Jazz Festival in size and scope. Comprising 35+ world-class concerts over four months, as well as the annual San Francisco Residency and tour of the awe-inspiring SFJAZZ Collective, the SFJAZZ Spring Season draws an annual audience of up to 40,000. Under the artistic direction of saxophone superstar Joshua Redman, the SFJAZZ Spring Season quickly became “an instant hit” (The New York Times).
