An impressive lineup of modern blues greats converges on the Miner stage for this special event — a cross-section of artists representing the living soul of Texas, the deep Chicago blues tradition, and the signature sound of West Coast blues.
Houston-born vocal powerhouse Diunna Greenleaf is a winner of the Koko Taylor award from the Blues Music Awards, has worked with Pinetop Perkins, and recorded four acclaimed albums.
Plano, Texas guitar slinger Anson Funderburgh has led his hard-driving band The Rockets since 1978, mixing the Texas and Chicago sound on sixteen sublime albums and innumerable performances.
Known far and wide as “Mr. 43rd Street,” Chicago blues belter Oscar Wilson is the co-leader of the wildly popular Cash Box Kings and is a dynamic performer whose “powerful and deep voice harkens back to the golden age of Chicago blues” (Blues Music Magazine).
West Coast blues king Junior Watson is a founding member of The Mighty Flyers and has worked widely with L.A. blues/rock greats Canned Heat in addition to his recordings and performances with Big Mama Thornton, Charlie Musselwhite, John Németh, and Kim Wilson.
Bay Area music royalty and harmonica master Mark Hummel has defined the West Coast blues sound for four decades, leading the Blues Survivors and performing alongside Charles Brown, James Cotton, Charlie Musselwhite, and Willie “Big Eyes” Smith.
