Live Looping: Spontaneous Improvisational Composing
Daniel Berkman, Instructor
Join composer, performer and gifted multi-instrumentalist Daniel Berkman as he discusses and demonstrates the technical wizardry behind live looping and creating spontaneous compositions live on stage. Daniel is a main accompanist and composer for the SF Ballet, where he builds live compositions for dancers on a daily basis using kora (African harp) viola da gamba, tenor uke, guitars, analog synths, and digital percussion. A fascinating process that yields beautiful musical results.
Ideal for musicians, music and composition students, producers, and those with a solid understanding of musicianship.
