Digital Lab: Songwriting & Digital Performance

Take your music from the studio to the stage in this innovative class.

In this insightful and fun course, students will learn from a master producer how to create interesting musical arrangements from simple melodies using MIDI instruments and effects and innovative mixing techniques. In addition to this, students will also learn how to take their musical ideas from the recording studio and prepare them for the stage to improvise with other musicians in a live performance environment.

This course will cover both Logic and Ableton music software.

Instructor Jef Stott is a music producer, performer and DJ who tours internationally. He has released dozens of album projects and remixes, and scored music for film, TV and video games. He teaches Ableton Live, ProTools and audio production at universities, arts institutions, and in private master classes.
