Destani Wolf

Raised in Berkeley and now based in Los Angeles, vocalist Destani Wolf is a distinctively soulful singer who instills a deep feel for the blues into every song she sings, from contemporary R&B to timeless jazz standards. Both a gifted interpreter of the Great American Songbook as well as a self-assured songwriter, Wolf has lent her voice to the music of John Santos, the Pharcyde, and a cappella supergroup SoVoSó, and recorded her debut EP, Peek Away, in 2014. Her latest single, “Love Me Gently,” is an electronica-tinged release produced by Headnodic of the acclaimed Oakland hip-hop unit Crown City Rockers. On this night, Wolf celebrates many of the female songwriters and performers who have influenced her the most including Roberta Flack, Adele, and Nina Simone, along with a selection of her own originals and more.
