About Hubert Laws
Renowned flutist Hubert Laws’ eclectic musical interest has led him to become a master of the jazz, pop and R&B genres. With no limitations on the flute, his talents have allowed him to collaborate with the likes of Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock, McCoy Tyner, Ella Fitzgerald and Stevie Wonder, just to name a few. He is also know for scoring such films as The Wiz, Color Purple, A Hero Ain’t Nothing but a Sandwich, and Spot Marks the X. Alongside Herbie Mann, Laws is the most internationally recognized and respected flutist in the modern jazz world, and he is the recent recipient of the prestigious NEA Jazz Masters Award.

About Chloe Jane Scott
San Francisco native Chloe Jane Scott is a true product of the Bay Area’s music scene. Growing up, she studied both jazz and classical music with Joe Henderson, Rebeca Mauleón, Wayne Wallace, Tootie Heath, Julian Priester, Eddie Marshall, James Galway and Linda Lukas (SF Symphony), eventually obtaining her Bachelor Degree in Classical Flute Performance. Chloe has recorded and performed with John Tchicai, Yosvanny Terry, Thomas Dyani, Harry Beckett, Peter Apfelbaum, Omar Sosa, Cachaito Lopez, and Pierre Dorge. She plays locally with the Josh Jones Latin Ensemble as well as Carlos Oliveira’s Kata-Vento. Chloe Jane Scott plays with a fire and intensity that drives her and her music forward, exploring new sounds and concepts. Her debut album, “Duos Out of Time,” is slate to be released later this year.
