Celebrate the New Year at the SFJAZZ Center with legendary percussionist Pete Escovedo and his spectacular Latin Jazz Orchestra. Join us for a pulse-pounding night of salsa celebration leading up to a complimentary champagne toast, party favors and a balloon drop at midnight. Bring your dancing shoes. The dance floor will be open!

A veteran of work with Santana, Tito Puente, Herbie Hancock and countless others, Pete Escovedo is a respected bandleader and composer as well as the “first father” of Latin jazz, rearing a brood of acclaimed musicians including superstar Sheila E. There is nothing like experiencing a world-class salsa big band in the flesh. The Pete Escovedo Latin Jazz Orchestra is one of the greatest salsa big bands working today, featuring an incredible multi-generational lineup of musicians that seamlessly blend African, Brazilian and Latin elements with the jazz tradition.

Patrons who purchase General Admission Dance Floor seats will have priority on the dance floor but no reserved seats.
