As a member of SFJAZZ’s Development team, the Grants Manager reports to and works with the Director of Development to develop a strategy to raise funds from foundations, corporations and government agencies. The Grants Manager will execute all aspects of the plan, including research and identification of prospects; cultivation and relationship management for the portfolio; proposal development and solicitation; and overseeing SFJAZZ’s fulfillment of all grants and awards. The Manager is also responsible for the promotion of institutional giving programs, income reconciliation, and budget management for institutional giving. The Grants Manager is a member of a twelve-person development team at SFJAZZ and works collegially with other staff across the organization.

This is position provides administrative support to the entire Artistic Department. This position reports to the Artistic Producer and will work closely with the Associate Artistic Managers and Logistics Coordinator in performing the administrative functions required for the smooth execution of SFJAZZ presentations. This position will play a key role in establishing strong administrative foundation for the work of Artistic Department sorting out competing priorities.

The Controller reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for performing accounting duties as well as managing the day-to- day operations of the finance department. The Controller manages multiple accounting staff in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, gift recording, payroll, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, and tax compliance. They are directly responsible for all aspects of preparing the monthly financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Acco unting Principles (GAAP) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the preparation of the annual operating budget.

Under the direction of the Director of Finance, the Staff Accountant will support the finance team with various accounting and administrative tasks. This is a great opportunity to grow in learning and building skills in the non-profit and performing arts sector.
