ABOUT THIS CONCERT
The National Endowment for the Arts, in collaboration with SFJAZZ, will honor the 2022 NEA Jazz Masters—Stanley Clarke, Donald Harrison, Jr., Billy Hart, and Cassandra Wilson—and kick off a year-long celebration of the 40th anniversary of the program with a free concert and broadcast at the SFJAZZ Center.
2018 NEA Jazz Master Dianne Reeves will host the concert, which will include performances, video tributes, and remarks. The concert will also feature performances by 2022 honorees Stanley Clarke, Billy Hart, and Donald Harrison, Jr. Additional performers include Jeremiah Collier, Joe Dyson, Ethan Iverson, Dan Kaufman, Salar Nader, Nori Naraoka, Ruslan Sirota, Ben Street, and Mark Turner, as well as the SFJAZZ Collective—Matt Brewer, Etienne Charles, Martin Luther McCoy, Gretchen Parlato, Chris Potter, David Sánchez, Kendrick Scott, Edward Simon, and Warren Wolf—and Skylar Tang, a 16-year-old trumpeter and a member of the SFJAZZ High School All-Stars.

Since 1982, the National Endowment for the Arts has awarded 165 fellowships to great figures in jazz, including Ella Fitzgerald, Sonny Rollins, Dianne Reeves, Miles Davis, Chick Corea, and George Wein.
