Listening Parties

Come into the SFJAZZ “living room” and hear artists and tastemakers spinning their favorite recordings while in conversation with SFJAZZ Founder and Executive Artistic Director Randall Kline. Listening Parties offer listeners the chance to get behind-the- scenes and hear about music from the artist’s perspective. The format is an on-stage conversation in the Robert N. Miner Auditorium, accompanied by the artist’s pick of recorded, and sometimes live, excerpts. The conversation closes with questions from the audience followed by a reception with the artist.

Season Preview Party

Leaders Circle Members, Benefactor level Members, and special guests are invited into Robert N. Miner Auditorium for a special and festive preview party hosted by Executive Artistic Director and featuring an artist from the highly anticipated, upcoming Season. Guests will be the first to hear about what is to come in the next season and have the opportunity to engage with special guests, artists and Executive Leadership while curating their season of tickets over evening cocktails and hors d’oeuvres.

Open Rehearsal

The SFJAZZ Open Rehearsal is an exclusive behind-the-scenes opportunity to watch performances come alive. Witness the creative process as artists develop and rehearse for their run at the SFJAZZ Center before anyone else. Guests will have the opportunity to see collaborative genius at work, observe a raw workshop, and hear musical ideas evolve. Following the rehearsal, join SFJAZZ Executive Leadership and artists for a casual and lively reception.

Artists Dinners

This dinner party, for Artist level Leaders Circle Members and special guests, is a rare and intimate opportunity to connect with renowned musicians, SFJAZZ Executive Leadership, and our most generous supporters over exceptional cuisine and cocktails. Guests join us to break bread and spend an evening in conversation with featured artists before their residencies at the SFJAZZ Center.
