In 2017, we embarked on an ambitious program to serve over 23,000 middle school students in the San Francisco and Oakland Unified School Districts. As we develop and strengthen relationships with our school and student communities, we see them evolve as an extension of our SFJAZZ family. Throughout all of our education programs, our core belief is that we nurture the student first, then the music will come. This means that everything we do – whether it’s through our High School All-Stars or scholarships for private lessons – is to ensure that students will continue to grow. 

They clearly learn through this type of expression.
