Here is my top 5.  Hard to choose!

      Sunday, October 2, 7:00pm
      at Herbst Theatre

Wayne Shorter is my favorite sax player EVER. But it's his beautifully constructed compositions that get more and more creative as time passes and evoke raw energy from his band. I saw him a few years ago and it was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Hands down.

      Friday, November 18, 8:00pm
      at Grace Cathedral

When do you get to hear 13th Century vocal music performed professionally in Grace Cathedral? I can already feel the goose bumps. A rare and delectable treat.

      Friday, October 28, 8:00pm
      at Paramount Theatre

I fell in love with this music after hearing it in Emir Kusturica's films. I can't help but dance and jump around with arms flailing with a big smile on my face when Goran Bregovic and his band get going.

      Wednesday, October 5, 7:30pm
      at Swedish American Hall

To be honest I haven't heard David Binney play yet, but I like to hear people I haven't heard. Among those, he is highly recommended by trusted saxophone players and jazz musicians. I feel like I have been missing out and want to change that.

My former jazzy roommate burned in to me the importance of this jazz giant. This legend is just too kewl for school.
