SFJAZZ GALA 2017 Honoring Zakir Hussain

Wednesday, January 18, 2017 | SFJAZZ Center

The pre-eminent classical tabla virtuoso of our time, Zakir Hussain is an international phenomenon in the field of percussion and in the music world at large. He is one of the world’s most esteemed and influential musicians and widely considered a chief architect of the contemporary world music movement.

On January 18, the SFJAZZ Center will fill with cultural and political leaders, celebrities, artists, and music enthusiasts to present Zakir Hussain with the SFJAZZ Lifetime Achievement Award and celebrate our 5th Anniversary Season in the SFJAZZ Center.
