For Thelonious Monk’s 101st birthday, we celebrate a true jazz icon with three of the Bay Area’s finest piano masters and share the legacy of Monk’s timeless compositions. Stalwarts Tammy Hall, Matt Clark and Maya Kronfeld highlight the playful as well as complex repertoire of this giant of jazz, and remind us that Thelonious Monk was truly ahead of his time.
