Vibraphonist Mike Dillon heads this groove-heavy, all-star quartet including pianist and Jacob Fred Jazz Odyssey leader Brian Haas along with the legendary New Orleans rhythm section of bassist James Singleton and drummer Johnny Vidacovich. They perform the inspired collection of soulful compositions contained on their new Royal Potato Family release, No Revenge Necessary.

For the last quarter century, Dillon has built a major career as part of jazz-funk juggernauts Garage A Trois and Critters Buggin, and through collaboration with Les Claypool, Primus, and Rickie Lee Jones. A gifted keyboardist whose aesthetic blurs lines between jazz, funk, experimental music and rock, Haas has led the JFJO for over twenty years, releasing over two-dozen albums and touring the world relentlessly. Bassist Singleton is a founding member of the iconic New Orleans jazz group Astral Project and is a vital part of the city’s jazz scene, performing with Stanton Moore, John Medeski, John Scofield, and whose resume includes work with late masters Eddie Harris, Clarence “Gatemouth” Brown, and Chet Baker. A hugely influential artist who represents the essence of the Crescent City drumming tradition, Vidacovich brings the spirit of the second line to work with Astral Project, Professor Longhair, James Booker, Charlie Hunter, and Bobby McFerrin.
