Sarah McKenzie

Building a burgeoning career in the Australian scene, McKenzie earned a full scholarship to Boston’s prestigious Berklee College of Music, and her first three albums for the Australian ABC Music label received ARIA Music Award nominations, with her 2012 release Close Your Eyes winning for Best Jazz Album. Her third session, We Could Be Lovers, was picked up by the legendary Impulse! label, and her first album recorded specifically for Impulse!, Paris in the Rain, was released in 2017.

Produced by veteran composer and arranger Chong Lim (Kylie Minogue, Nikki Webster, Olivia Newton-John), Secrets of My Heart is a distinctly cosmopolitan collection of originals and modern standards that flows seamlessly from the music of Brazil to a Gershwin medley, with a band including SFJAZZ Collective vibraphonist Warren Wolf and Brazilian legend Danilo Caymmi.
