Original show description below.
The band’s wildly successful first step into interpreting the work of a pop icon is on tap for night two, as they revive their fresh and innovative arrangements of Stevie Wonder’s classic songs from the 2011 season including “Superstition,” “Sir Duke,” “Do I Do,” “My Cherie Amour,” “Race Babbling,” “Visions,” “Creepin’,” and “Blame it on the Sun.” A star at age 11, Wonder released a string of classic albums that fused the soul music of Detroit with elements of R&B, jazz and reggae into a singular vision that was both wildly successful on the charts and respected by critics and musicians of all genres. These distinctive takes on Wonder’s music exposed the Collective to a wide-ranging new audience via an extensive tour and several videos that went viral on YouTube.
