BOX OFFICE ASSISTANT MANAGER, DIGITAL
SUMMARY
Under the direction of the Box Office Managers, Box Office Assistant Manager Digital is the acting Box Office and Retail Services lead at the SFJAZZ Box Office and Store. The ideal candidate for this position is a friendly, focused, audience service-oriented individual available for full time work with a variable schedule. This individual is proficient at multi-tasking and is reliable, very comfortable with computers and digital technology and maintains a professional appearance. The flexibility to work from home at times is needed.
ABOUT SFJAZZ
SFJAZZ is one of the world’s most popular and important presenters of jazz. The SFJAZZ Center is a beautiful and perfect stage for jazz artists and the community to celebrate the living American art form of jazz. The $64 million dollar Center launched in 2013 and the 33-year-old non-profit organization now crafts distinguished programming and education services from the heart of the San Francisco arts district. In March 2020 SFJAZZ launched its digital expansion, featuring weekly broadcasts, select monthly on demand concerts and livestream performances from the SFJAZZ Center.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves as the audience services supervisory representative for SFJAZZ at our box office and digital programs. Provides support for our in person shows on site and off site as needed.
- Sells SFJAZZ event tickets, merchandise, and memberships using Tessitura ticketing software.
- Communicates with SFJAZZ patrons and members via phone, email, chat, and in person.
- Reconciles cash, credit card and check revenue, and tickets issued at the end of each shift.
- Provides ticketing and customer service support at in person and digital SFJAZZ concerts and events.
- Assists the user experience team and Box Office Manager with special administrative and research projects as assigned.
- Works with the digital support team to help improve the customer experience.
- Maintains and keeps track of the digital support schedule.
- Supervises the Digital support staff along with our call center team to handle login and other technical customer service issues related to shows. Confirm phone service transfer to and from the call center.
- Implements pre digital show customer support set up.
- Assists Box Office Manager with Artifax event scheduling.
- Coordinates with IT operations on the provisions of telephony services and features
- Gathers customer service issues and feedback.
MINIMUM SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Three years box office and customer service experience required.
- Tessitura or other ticketing software experience, and work with arts organizations, is preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal and interpersonal communications skills.
- Availability to work irregular hours during peak periods. Evening and weekend availability a must.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Gmail preferred.
- Experience with digital platforms and related software tools like Slack and Tawk a plus
