You can find Rico Pabon in a variety of settings: flowing a cappella at spoken word shows in local cultural centers; performing at the Monterey Jazz Festival with his Latin Jazz sextet; singing with an African American roots music choir; rhyming with a DJ; performing Afro Puerto Rican bomba music; or singing with a 10-piece salsa/hip hop/reggae band at San Francisco's Stern Grove Concert Series or the North Beach Jazz Festival.
Jennifer Barone & Daniel Heffez
Jennifer Barone is the author of three books of poetry, her most recent titled "Saporoso - poems of Italian food & love." he has been a featured poet at The SF Public Library, The Red Poppy Art House, SF MoMa, DeYoung, The Beat Museum, and most local poetry venues in San Francisco. She was a winner of the 2007 and 2012 SF Public Library Poets Eleven contest for North Beach where she resides and has been published in literary journals such as The Haight Ashbury Literary Journal, Bay Area Generations and Quiet Lightening. Daniel Heffez is an accomplished Saxophonist and multi-instrumentalist. Daniel Heffez is the Musical Director for the Nova Jazz Quartet, widely recognized as one of the most in demand jazz combos in the San Francisco Bay Area. Daniel accompanies poets at the monthly WordParty Poetry and Jazz series known for its unique interactions that is running well into its second decade.
Mo Sati w/ Oud player Claude Palmer
Mo Sati was born in Palestine, grew up in a refugee camp in Jordan and now lives in the Bay Area. Mo is a poet, calligrapher, photographer, and percussionist. He participates in cultural events by sharing his artwork and poetry.
