As a member of SFJAZZ’s Development team, the Grants Manager reports to and works with the Director of Development to develop a strategy to raise funds from foundations, corporations and government agencies. The Grants Manager will execute all aspects of the plan, including research and identification of prospects; cultivation and relationship management for the portfolio; proposal development and solicitation; and overseeing SFJAZZ’s fulfillment of all grants and awards. The Manager is also responsible for the promotion of institutional giving programs, income reconciliation, and budget management for institutional giving. The Grants Manager is a member of a twelve-person development team at SFJAZZ and works collegially with other staff across the organization.

This is position provides administrative support to the entire Artistic Department. This position reports to the Artistic Producer and will work closely with the Associate Artistic Managers and Logistics Coordinator in performing the administrative functions required for the smooth execution of SFJAZZ presentations. This position will play a key role in establishing strong administrative foundation for the work of Artistic Department sorting out competing priorities.
The Marketing Department seeks a Web Producer to assume full responsibility for all aspects of SFJAZZ’s website (SFJAZZ.org) including the design and production of web page layouts; to update and maintain the content; and to provide advice & ideas on site development and site structure to colleagues across the organization. This position is an integral element of the Marketing department. The Web Producer works in close collaboration with the Graphic Design team, the Digital Marketing Specialist and other members of the Marketing team to establish and maintain consistent graphic standards and communications throughout SFJAZZ’s website, on coding of web page layouts, as well as maintenance and continuous content updates that integrates SFJAZZ’s growing social media platforms. SFJAZZ is currently in the middle of re-designing it’s website, and this position will play a major role in working with an outside design firm and an internal committee in the overall re-design of SFJAZZ.org. This position will also provide strong support to the online communication needs of both the Development and Education Departments. Candidates must be detail-oriented, take initiative and possess the ability to work in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
The Controller reports to the Director of Finance and is responsible for performing accounting duties as well as managing the day-to- day operations of the finance department. The Controller manages multiple accounting staff in the areas of accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash receipts, gift recording, payroll, fixed assets, general ledger maintenance, and tax compliance. They are directly responsible for all aspects of preparing the monthly financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Acco unting Principles (GAAP) and the Financial Accounting Standards Board (FASB) and the preparation of the annual operating budget.
The SFJAZZ Lighting Technician is an on-call technical position that provides crucial support to SFJAZZ events. This technician will work under the direction of the Executive Artistic Director, Director of Production, Production Manager and the Lighting Director. This position requires programming knowledge of Grand MA 2 lighting consoles and ETC Gateway and Sensor CE devices.
