Critically acclaimed jazz singer and songwriter, Kat Edmonson is “a savvy student of ‘60s film soundtracks, jazz-pop stylists and Brill Building and Tin-Pan Alley songcraft” (NPR). She has performed on NPR's Tiny Desk Concerts, Austin City Limits, A Prairie Home Companion, CBS This Morning: Saturday, The Late Show with David Letterman, and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. She appeared in Woody Allen’s Café Society as a 1930s jazz singer and was highlighted on the official soundtrack performing her version of “Mountain Greenery.” From Carnegie Hall to the Montreux Jazz Festival to the Blue Note in Japan, Edmonson has played major stages across the United States, Europe, and Asia.
The genre-defying artist has released five, Billboard-chart topping record albums to date. The New York Times describes her arrangements of classic songs as “fresh as a spring bouquet” while NPR says her original compositions “all exude a twinkly throwback charm.” Her original songs have been featured in major motion pictures, television shows, and commercials including her song “Lucky” which was featured in the Coca-Cola “Footprints” ad from the 2014 Winter Olympics.
Edmonson returns in an intimate duo with the superb pianist Roy Dunlap, performing music from across her career and from her 2020 Spinnerette Records album Dreamers Do.
