The San Francisco–based Kronos Quartet is thrilled to present the return of its annual KRONOS FESTIVAL to live, in-person performance. This year’s 3-day/night showcase is inspired by the Bay Area’s rich diversity and continues Kronos’ commitment to artistic and cultural breadth—with featured composers and guest artists representing 10 nations.

From the mind of trombonist, arranger, Festival Artist-in-Residence, and longtime Kronos collaborator Jacob Garchik comes this afternoon’s astonishing and astounding testament to the power of reason. Garchik leads an all-star group composed of the Bay Area's premier trombonists performing a nine-part suite for trombones, tuba, and drums.

For nearly 50 years, San Francisco's Grammy-winning Kronos Quartet has reimagined and redefined the string quartet experience. Kronos' annual festival spotlights an eclectic mix of new and signature works.

I’ve had the privilege to work with Kronos for the last 16 years; together we’ve created over 110 works of music from all over the world. I’m thrilled to have my own chance to step into the spotlight with KRONOS FESTIVAL.
