Shakeya McDow - (Treasurer) - 1st Term
Vice President, Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance - Strategy, Intelligence, and Operations at Kaiser Permanente. McDow is responsible for planning, oversight, and coordination of activities to drive compliance with regulatory requirements and policies across Kaiser Permanente markets. She leads the development of strategies to embed ethics and compliance into the core design and operations of the organization and foster a work environment where employees and physicians do the right thing to protect our members, patients, and the communities.
Prior to joining Kaiser in 2016, she held senior health advisory and risk advisory roles at Ernst & Young. Before joining Ernst & Young, she served in accounting, finance, and internal audit roles in the restaurant and entertainment industries.
McDow serves on the governing board of Junior Achievement of Northern California, to inspire and prepare young people. McDow was a recipient of the 2020 Junior Achievement USA Gold Leadership Award and named the 2011 Junior Achievement Dallas Volunteer of the Year. At Ernst & Young, she was recognized by the chairman as the Global and Americas Values Champion. The National Association of Black Accountants named her a National Rising Star. McDow earned an MBA at the University of Phoenix and is a graduate of the Harvard Business School Executive Leadership Program. She is a certified public accountant (in Texas), internal auditor, and fraud examiner and holds a certification in healthcare compliance.
