JOHN BOTTI - 1st Term
John was co-founder and portfolio manager at Botti Brown Asset Management LLC, where he was managing member from 1995-2008. In 2008 he founded Emrose Capital where he was managing member and portfolio manager. John is also a co-founder of Mt Tam Capital LLC , a family office. John comes from a musical family. His father and mother were both professional classical musicians and his father was in the NY Philharmonic for 51 years. His brother is currently a member of the Philharmonic. John started playing classical cello when he was 7 and started playing guitar when he was 14. Music remains central in his life. He was previously on the SF Jazz board for 9 years from 2013 to 2022, and for the last 4 years was Treasurer. John is currently board chair at Marin Casa (a nonprofit organization that works with and advocates for youths in the foster care system), and is also board chair at Bread and Roses (a nonprofit organization that brings the healing power of music to people in need all over the SF Bay area.
