Schools & Partnerships
SFJAZZ brings world-class jazz artists out of the concert hall and into the community, connecting youth and adults, students and professionals, musicians and non-musicians with a diverse array of interactive programs and events. From field trips to our unique SFJAZZ Center Auditorium, to hands on learning in their very own classrooms with jazz professionals, our School Programs give students access to jazz’s rich and critical history.
Our programs support the San Francisco Unified School District’sArts Education Master Plan to make music education accessible to all.
OUR SCHOOL PROGRAMS:
● Serve all San Francisco and Oakland public and charter middle schools
● Provide over 25,000 hours of instruction each year
● Donate over 3,000 SFJAZZ Center concert tickets to public schools and community groups each year
● Provide students and educators special access to select interactive soundchecks, rehearsals, concerts and professional development workshops
