Lisa Hilton Quartet

Discovering an aptitude for the piano as a child in San Luis Obispo, CA, Hilton studied classical piano at San Francisco State with the renowned pianist Carlo Bussotti before realizing that a career as a classical artist was not for her. Completing her degree in art and design, Hilton began a successful career as a visual artist and left music behind.

Rekindling her love of jazz in the late 1990s, Hilton dove in headfirst, releasing her debut album Seduction on her own Ruby Slippers Productions label in 1997. Since that auspicious start, Hilton has recorded no less than 27 albums that highlight her masterful playing and inimitable compositions that owe their evocative, cinematic themes to her visual work.

Coincidental Moment features a world class quartet including trumpeter Igmar Thomas, bassist Luques Curtis and drumming great Rudy Royston who will be appearing with Hilton.
