El David Aguilar

Singer-songwriter El David Aguilar has become one of the most inventive and emotionally resonant voices in contemporary Latin music, blending folk, bolero, jazz, and rock into songs marked by poetic lyricism and fearless experimentation. Born in Culiacán, Sinaloa, Mexico, Aguilar began writing songs as a teenager and quickly distinguished himself through his literary approach to songwriting and his richly expressive voice. Over the past decade, he has built a devoted international following while earning acclaim for albums that merge traditional Mexican influences with sophisticated modern arrangements. 

Aguilar has collaborated with celebrated artists including Natalia Lafourcade, Jorge Drexler, and Mon Laferte, establishing himself as a central figure in the new generation of Latin American troubadours. His work has received multiple nominations from the Latin GRAMMY Awards, including five 2018 nominations for his 2017 album Siguiente Segundo including Album of the Year and Song of the Year for Embrujo.
