Maurice MOBETTA Brown Holiday Spectacular

For more than a decade, GRAMMY Award-winning trumpeter Maurice "Mobetta" Brown has returned every winter to his hometown Chicago for his MOBETTA Holiday Jam. Now the charismatic horn player, rapper and producer is giving the rest of us a taste of an uproarious Mobetta holiday celebration. 

With a sound that seamlessly encompasses jazz, hip-hop, funk, soul, and R&B, Brown was shaped by his long pre-Katrina residency in New Orleans, where he fully assimilated the Crescent City concept of social music. After the hurricane he ended up in New York City, where he’s thrived as a creative force, collaborating with Aretha Franklin, Lettuce, Santana, Tedeschi Trucks Band, Anderson .Paak & The Free Nationals, Harry Styles, Bruno Mars, and The Roots, among many others. 

His horn arrangements and production work have appeared on GRAMMY-winning albums, Netflix documentaries, and Broadway, where he debuted alongside Dave Chappelle and Thundercat. Building on the irrepressible soul of his 2025 album Betta Days, Mobetta celebrates the season by weaving improvisation, storytelling, and groove into music that speaks to freedom, love, and transformation.
