This is truly not a stage, it's a playground. We have so much fun up here.

Robert N. Miner Auditorium
The result of collaboration between award-winning architect Mark Cavagnero, theater designer Len Auerbach, and acoustician Sam Berkow, Miner Auditorium is a uniquely intimate performance space, scalable from 350 to 700 seats. The steep rake of seating for unobstructed views, audience locations before, above, and behind the performer, and the expandable thrust stage configuration combine to create an immersive experience for both audience and artist. State-of-the-art lighting and sound, carefully considered acoustics, and a full suite of video and recording technology make Miner an ideal venue for artists ranging from solo guitar to big band and beyond.

Joe Henderson Lab
Located on the ground floor of the SFJAZZ Center, the Joe Henderson Lab is named for the jazz legend and longtime San Francisco resident. Originally conceived as a black box space and home for the SFJAZZ Education department, the 100-seat venue features a raised stage, world-class sound system, and floor-to-ceiling glass on two sides that brings the SFJAZZ Center’s Hayes Valley neighborhood into the room. The room is ideally scaled for soloists and small-to-medium groups, and is a miracle of sonic performance as designed by acoustician Sam Berkow.
