Building on the legacy of the jazz trumpet, enjoy a curated playlist of a new generation of artists who ensure the instrument’s bright future, to go with a four-night "New Trumpet" series at SFJAZZ on October 11-14 – featuring Adam O'Farrill (grandson of Afro-Cuban jazz pioneer Chico O’Farrill), Bay Area great Erik Jekabson and his Sextet with John Santos, New York's celebrated Keyon Harrold (known for his work with Common and Robert Glasper) and 2014 Thelonious Monk International Trumpet Competition winner, Chicago-born trumpeter Marquis Hill.
