Half way through SFJAZZ Season 5, we've refreshed the "Traditions In Transition" playlist. A term originally coined by saxophonist Joshua Redman during his tenure as the first SFJAZZ Resident Artistic Director, it speaks to artists grounded in a historical context while representing an expansion and progression of the art form.
